Listen to the Word
This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalm 118:24, NIV ‘84)

We often relate rejoicing to days in the past - the day you got the game-winning hit, the day you made an A on that test, or the day she said “yes.” Other times we think rejoicing is something we will do in the future - when you get that hoped-for raise, or make that long-awaited trip to the beach. We tend to endure today, suffering through it while remembering joyful yesterdays and anticipating joyful tomorrows.

God calls you to rejoice in THIS DAY. Today is God’s day. He made it, and he gave it to you as a gift. He wants you to celebrate this day with him.

Live the Word
Think of some good things God has done for you this day, and tell him thanks for them. Smile while you tell him!
