Listen to the Word
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters. (Colossians 3:23)

Your commitment to Christ will show up on the job in the quantity and quality of work that you do. If you work as if Jesus were your boss, you are going to do your best! You will “work at it with all your heart.”

The Bible is full of stories of God’s people who demonstrate the value of a healthy work ethic. Joseph’s rise to a position of influence in Egypt happened because he worked hard and he worked with integrity. Daniel and his friends moved up the org chart in Babylon because they worked harder, stayed in shape better, and scored higher on the Babylonian SAT’s than the people around them. You are working for Jesus, so work hard.

When you find yourself tempted to slack off today, get back to work - not for the sake of your company, but for the sake of Christ.
