Listen to the Word
…offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life… (1 Corinthians 6:13)

Today we will consider the ultimate daring prayer: “I’m yours.”

In our Scripture, Paul reminds us that in light of the death-defeating, life-giving work God has done for us, we should offer ourselves to him. In light of the fact that God held nothing back for us, we hold nothing back from him. We hand him all of our accomplishments and all of our shortcomings, all of our skills and all of our flaws. We give him our hopes and our fears. We hand over our time and our treasure, our bodies and our brains. We put a big “property of God” tag on all that we have and all that we are.
