STUDENT MISSION TRIP FUNDRAISER: Our church family gave almost $2500 through the ONE NIGHT ONLY Fundraiser for our students to go on mission!

1. ADOPT-A-ROAD: We have an easy opportunity to serve right here in Lee’s Summit! Our church has adopted a stretch of roadway in Lee’s Summit – Todd George Parkway from Colbern to Strother. On Saturday, May 21, a group from our church will be going out to pick up trash along “our” road. All adults and kids, 5th grade and up (parental supervision required for kids) are invited. Email the church office if you'd like to join us. We will meet at 9 AM at the Lee’s Summit Bible Church located on Colbern Road, across from Bernard Campbell Middle School. Bring a pair of gloves and the rest will be provided.

2. LEE’S SUMMIT DOWNTOWN DAYS: We have the opportunity once again this year to be good neighbors to those who will be visiting the downtown area as Lee’s Summit celebrates its annual Downtown Days event on Friday and Saturday, June 3-4. We’ll provide free parking to those who wish to use our lots and supply folks with cold bottles of water to quench their thirst. Please sign up at the Next Steps table to cover a 2-hour slot on one of those days.

PRESCHOOL PLAY DAYS: Preschoolers and their parents/caregivers are invited to Preschool Play Day which will be held each Thursday throughout the summer starting May 26. They will meet from 10-11:30 AM on the playground or in the gym, depending on the weather.

VBS SIGN-UPS OPEN: Online sign-ups are open now! VBS is for all kids entering Kindergarten through completed 6th grade, July 11-15, and is completely FREE.  Go to our website for more information and to sign up. In this wet and wild VBS, kids will learn that what you do today can change the world around you. When you put your trust in Jesus, you can "make waves" because of His Spirit living inside you. Through fun activities, engaging lessons, and God's Word, we'll help kids understand how they can share God's love with the people around them. They'll discover that when they put their faith in Jesus, God will give them His Spirit.

HOSPITALITY: We could use your help making guests feel at home on Sunday mornings. If you know how to smile, you are qualified for the job! To learn more about the opportunity, please contact Gayla McKinney.

Our usual Sunday morning worship services take place at 9:00 and 11:00 AM, both in person and online. An email will be sent Sunday morning with the link to watch online. We also have several Community Groups meeting in person on Sunday mornings (see below).

Ministry Needs

VIDEO TECH: As time goes on, video has become more and more helpful for conveying the Gospel. In that respect, we are looking for on-call Video Team volunteers to be ready for occasional help running equipment on Sunday morning services. If you enjoy sharing the Gospel with those watching remotely and technology, this would be a great opportunity for you! Any training needed can be done in the matter of minutes prior to services, and no experience is required.  Contact Carl Gregory if you are interested.

SOUND TECH: We are also looking to fill both the core group, as well as the on-call group, of sound team volunteers. Any training needed can be done as a “shadow” in the sound booth in the balcony during Sunday services, and meeting at a time during the week to go over the equipment.
