CURRENT EVENTS & IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

PALM SUNDAY INFORMATION: Our Palm Sunday Processional is on April 2 and we would love to have all our kids involved! Kindergarten-5th graders will meet in the Chapel at 9:30 AM. Preschoolers will go to their classes as usual and will be walked to worship by their teachers. There will be NO K–2 Worship on April 2 due to the processional. There WILL be worship care for birth - Pre-K.

EASTER SERVICES: We are nearing the time to celebrate the events at the very heart of our faith: the death and resurrection of Jesus.
  • Make plans to be part of our reflective Maundy Thursday service at 6:30 PM on April 6.
  • On Easter Sunday, April 9, we will have two worship services at 9 and 10:30 AM, with no community groups. We’ll also have cinnamon rolls and coffee available to enjoy together before each worship service. Pick up some of the Easter cards in the Worship Center lobby and use them to invite your family and friends for worship on Easter Sunday.
Childcare will be provided for birth through pre-K for all services.

EASTER OUTREACH: Join us on Sunday, April 2, at 2:00 PM to use prayer-walking and door-hanger invitations to invite households in the neighborhood around the church to our Easter Sunday services. If mobility issues make walking impossible, you are welcome to remain at the church for a time of focused prayer for reaching our neighbors with the gospel this Easter. We will also have invitations available for you to use to personally invite your family and friends.

PANCAKE BREAKFAST:  The Lions Club will be hosting their pancake breakfast at our church on Saturday, April 1, from 7 - 11 AM.

WOMEN'S BROWN BAG PRAYER LUNCH: Meet us for a brown bag prayer lunch on April 4 in the Fellowship Hall from noon to 1 PM. Bring your own lunch! We will have a brief devotion and spend most of our time praying for various ministries of our church and ministries to our community. You won’t be called upon to pray out loud unless you feel comfortable doing so! You might want to bring a notebook or journal and pen.

TRASH PICK-UP SERVICE OPPORTUNITY: We will be picking up trash along our adopted stretch of Todd George Road on April 15. We will meet at 9 AM in the parking lot of Lee’s Summit Bible Church, 1200 NE Colbern Road, and take the church bus to the clean-up site. You can sign up at the Next Steps table in the Worship Center lobby or by emailing the church office.

VIDEO & SOUND TECH: We are looking for on-call Video & Sound Team volunteers to be ready for occasional help running equipment on Sunday morning services. Any training needed for video can be done in the matter of minutes prior to services, and no experience is required.
