CURRENT EVENTS & IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

NOTE: There will be no evening activities this Wednesday, November 23.

ADVENT DEVOTIONAL BOOKLET:  Our ministry staff has compiled a booklet of daily devotional readings for Advent entitled “With Us.” You can pick one up this Sunday in the Worship Center lobby.

PURCHASE A POINSETTIA: Help decorate our Worship Center by purchasing a poinsettia in memory or honor of a loved one. Use the green order forms found in the Worship Center lobby. Fill it out and turn it in with your payment of $12. The poinsettias can be taken home following the Christmas Eve service.

HELP DECORATE THE CHURCH: Our Flower Team does an amazing job each year getting the Christmas decorations ready for the Hanging of the Green service, as well as decorating the church. But it’s a BIG job and they can’t do it alone. The team will be at the church preparing and decorating on Tuesday, November 22, at 6:30 PM. Contact Linda Henks, 816-405-8541 (call or text), or just show up to help.

WOMEN’S CHRISTMAS BRUNCH: The FBCLS Women’s Ministry is hosting a potluck-style Christmas Brunch on Saturday, December 3 from 10 to Noon in the Fellowship Hall. They will also be filling stockings for teens which will be donated to Lee’s Summit Social Services. Along with a dish to share, ladies are asked to bring stocking stuffers. A list of suggested items can be found on the Next Steps table in the Worship Center lobby. If you can’t attend the brunch but would like to contribute towards the stocking stuffers, please drop those items off in the Collection Hub by December 2.
