MEET THE PROSPECTIVE MINISTER OF WORSHIP: Our worship minister search team has found the candidate they believe God is leading to us for our next Minister of Worship. This position will be expanded to also include the mobilization part of Beth Garner’s job, and the title for the new position will be Minister of Worship and Connections. We get to meet him and officially vote to call him on December 4 & 5. He will be leading rehearsals with various groups within our worship ministry, followed by a Q&A time, on Saturday, December 4. Here is what that schedule will look like:
  • 10:00 AM – Choir rehearsal
  • 11:00 AM – Orchestra rehearsal
  • 1:00 PM – Praise Band rehearsal
  • 2:30 PM – Church-wide Q&A
On Sunday, December 5, he will lead both worship services, and a vote will be taken at the end of each service.

Ministry Needs

VIDEO TECH: As time goes on, video has become more and more helpful for conveying the Gospel. In that respect, we are looking for on-call Video Team volunteers to be ready for occasional help running equipment on Sunday morning services. If you enjoy sharing the Gospel with those watching remotely and technology, this would be a great opportunity for you! Any training needed can be done in the matter of minutes prior to services, and no experience is required.  Contact Carl Gregory if you are interested.

SOUND TECH: We are also looking to fill both the core group, as well as the on-call group, of sound team volunteers. Any training needed can be done as a “shadow” in the sound booth in the balcony during Sunday services, and meeting at a time during the week to go over the equipment.

BE A GREETER or USHER! We have a few people in place greeting those coming into the church for the 9 and 11 AM services with a warm welcome, and we are so thankful! We still room for more. We are now passing the offering plate which has created a need for ushers for both services as well! If you would like to be a part of either (or both!) of these teams,  email Tanya in the church office, or call 816-525-0700.
