Listen to the Word
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms. (1 Peter 4:10)

God made you unique. Your personality is one-of-a-kind. Your life experiences are different from mine. Your passions and gifts set you apart from others. When God made you, you weren't mass produced. You were a unique custom creation.

Your distinctiveness is an indicator of the ways God wants you to serve him. He knew what he was doing when he made you, and he wants to use your uniqueness to make a difference in the world. When you live and serve in ways that are consistent with the way God has wired you, it leads to fulfillment and fruitfulness. When you live and serve in ways that are inconsistent with your God-given wiring, it leads to frustration and failure.

God designed birds with wings because he intended for them to fly. If he designed you with musical ability, or a soft spot for kids, or an eye for details, or any other unique gift - he did it because he wants you to use that gift!

Live the Word
Think about a few of the things that are distinctive about you - some of the things that make you you. Ask God to show you how those unique traits point to his plans to use you to serve others.
