Listen to the Word

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever. (Psalm 107:1)

God’s love endures forever. It is constant and consistent. That is something to be thankful for! While I was writing this devotion, the electricity went off twice. What if God’s love were that unreliable? What if on random occasions he took his loving eye off of things and gravity ceased to function for half an hour or so? What if there were times when you confessed a sin to God and asked for his forgiveness and he said, “Sorry, I’m not really in the mood to forgive right now.”

Thankfully, we don’t have to worry about that. God is not moody, and his care is not an on-again, off-again thing. His love endures forever.
