Listen to the Word
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms. (1 Peter 4:10)

Using your God-given gifts is an act of service. Peter says you are not to use your gifts so you can get rich, or so you can get attention. You use them to serve others. You use them to make a difference in the lives of the people God has placed in your life.

Using your God-given gifts is also an act of stewardship. Peter says you use your gifts as a faithful steward. To call you a steward is to say that there is something that belongs to God, and he has entrusted it to you to use for his purposes. That's what he has done with the time he has given you, and the treasure he has given you. It's also what he has done with the talents and gifts he has given. He's loaned them to you to use for the good of others and for the glory of God.

Live the Word
Has there been a time recently that you have failed to use your gifts for the good of others? Confess that to God, and ask him to help you use your gifts faithfully.
