Listen to the Word

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love. (1 John 4:7-8 NAS)

Your day today will probably be full of interactions with people who are difficult to love. You will cross paths with some hurting people - folks that it will be inconvenient and costly to love. You will encounter some mean people - folks that you would rather punch in the nose than treat with kindness! You will run into some whiny people - these are the toughest for me. You may find people who know it all, people who nag, snobs, slobs, a person who wouldn’t dare to be seen with you, and a person who never leaves you alone.

Every encounter is an opportunity to learn how to love. All day long, God gives you opportunities to learn to love others with his agape kind of love.
