Listen to the Word

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”  (Romans 8:28)

Our Scripture promises that God is at work for your good. It may seem that your boss is working hard to cause you to suffer a mental breakdown, and your health is working hard to make you worry, and your spouse is working hard to get on your last nerve, and the devil is working hard to make you totally defeated. But God is working hard for your good.

If your life is a tug-of-war, sometimes it appears that the rest of the world is pulling on the opposite side. That isn’t generally the reality, but even if it is, you have the almighty God of the universe pulling on your side. God is at work for your good.

Live the Word

Ask God to give you a new perspective on your challenges. Ask him to help you realize that you do not face them alone, but with his help. Picture him pulling on the rope with you.
