Listen to the Word

...choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve...  (Joshua 24:15)

Our favorite day to make a commitment to God is "one of these days." One of these days I'll start praying consistently, or get involved in a ministry, or give my schedule to God. The Bible's favorite day for us to make a commitment is today. Choose this day, our Scripture says. This brings us to our final Biblical time management guideline: Surrender your time to God today. Just give it all to him. He doesn't want a few minutes here and there. He wants to help you live every moment to the fullest. If he's not Lord of the way you spend your time, he's not Lord of you.

So why not nail it down with him right now? Tell him that every moment he gives to you will be given right back to him. Surrender your time to him today.

Do you have a to-do list or calendar, either on paper or in digital form? Literally hold it up to God and pray, offering your time to him.
