Listen to the Word

When he had gone indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” (Matthew 9:28)

Two blind men begged Jesus to heal them. Before performing the miracle they requested, he asked them a loaded question: “Do you believe that I am able to do this?”

What a great question. That inquiry forces us to take inventory of our convictions. It demands that we assess the level of our confidence in Christ. Are we certain of his strength? Are we convinced of his compassion?  Do we believe that he is able?

Live the Word

Identify your biggest current struggle, and hand it to Jesus. Ask him to help you to be firmly persuaded that he is able to handle it.
