Listen to the Word
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?... No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. (Romans 8:35,37)

We will spend the week soaking in a huge promise from God: absolutely nothing can separate us from the love of Christ. Our Scripture makes a list of unpleasant things that might happen to us - things like personal difficulties, persecution, poverty, and peril. But the Scripture assures us that none of these things have the power to pry us from Christ's grip.

You could make your own list of dreaded possibilities, but you'll never be able to come up with anything that has the power to separate you from Christ's love. Illness can't do it. Neither can anxiety and depression. Abuse, divorce, failure - try as they might, they cannot separate you from the love of Christ. He holds you tenderly and tenaciously, and he's not letting go!

Live the Word
What do you dread more than anything right now? Ask God to remind you that even if that feared outcome were to happen, it wouldn't pull you away from his love.
