Listen to the Word
And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. (Romans 5:5)

Our giving God even gives us himself - he gives us his Holy Spirit.

One of the most surprising claims of the Bible is that God longs to give his Holy Spirit to you. His Spirit wants to take up residence in your heart and have an interactive relationship with you. He wants to guide you and convict you and encourage you. He wants to fill you to overflowing with his presence.

We might expect God to keep his Holy Spirit a gazillion miles away from unholy folks like us, but he doesn’t. He gives his Spirit to us.

Live the Word
Ask God to fill you with his Spirit. Tell him you don’t want to settle for a small dose, but you want your life and your character to overflow with Him.
