Listen to the Word

“Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah.” (Acts 5:42)

Living for Jesus is an EVERYWHERE thing. Our Scripture tells us that the early Christians lived and declared their faith “in the temple courts and from house to house.”

Too often, we let our faith get confined to a building. We incorrectly assume that faith is about going to church, which indicates an incomplete view of faith (it is more than attending religious services) and an incomplete view of church (it is more than a building). We act like we need stained glass and a praise band to be able to pay attention to God.

The church building is not where we go to live out our faith. It is where we go to be encouraged and equipped to live out our faith in the real world. Living for Jesus is an everywhere thing!

Live the Word

What is the next place you plan to go today? Ask God to show you what it would look like to live out your faith in that place.
