Listen to the Word
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. (Psalm 23:4)

Psalm 23:4 assures you that fear is always unnecessary, because God is always with you. It helps to have someone with you when you face a scary situation - like entering a dark room, or making a difficult decision, or sitting in a surgery waiting area. You don’t have to fear the dark valleys of life, because the living God goes through them with you. The God who invented quantum physics and designed sunsets is your personal escort through troubling times. The valley is long and the shadow is dark, but God is strong, and he is with you.

Make these words a prayer, and pray them repeatedly today: “I will fear no evil, for you are with me.”
