Listen to the Word
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. (1 Peter 2:9)

This week’s verse makes great reading when you feel like a nobody, because in this verse the God of the ages says that you are somebody. In Christ, you have worth. Because of the transformation God works - a transformation from pitch darkness to “his wonderful light” - you matter. God says that you are chosen. You are royal. You are holy. And you are his.
