Listen to the Word

Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.  (Philippians 2:9-10)

Jesus is more powerful than all the pipsqueak politicians on the planet. He is wiser than a thousand PhDs. He is more famous than any so-called “celebrity” in the world. If you were to make a list of everyone who ever lived and rank that list in priority order, there’s no question regarding whose name would be at the top. The name of Jesus is above every other name.

We will spend the next two weeks examining several different names of Jesus. Hopefully we will be inspired to do what today’s Scripture says every creature should do: be so impressed with Jesus that the mere mention of his name brings us to our knees.

Spend a moment telling Jesus that he is the one who matters most. If you are able, kneel while you tell him.
